Google today announced that it’s bringing the Google Wallet “Instant Buy” checkout feature it first launched on Android to iOS developers. The API allows developers to integrate a fast checkout experience using Google Wallet and with today’s announcement will work across the web, iOS and Android apps. Merchants and developers selling physical goods and services can use Instant Buy to take advantage of the following: Easy integration that works with existing payment processors Secure payments with 24/7 fraud monitoring No Google fees Google noted that it’s already worked with some partners including B&H, Eat24, Fancy, Newegg, Sionic Mobile and Wish to integrate the feature in their iOS apps, but it’s opening up the API to all developers today....

It turns out that the Arrowverse - in anticipation of its introduction of Batwoman - asked Gotham to use their Bat Signal, and producers said no. Batman is, and will seemingly forever be, one of the most popular superheroes in the world. Such is the popularity of the Caped Crusader that multiple series are managing to get made that only tangentially relate to his crime-fighting exploits. In 2014, Warner Bros. began producing Gotham for FOX, a prequel series looking at the early days of the titular city, and following the evolution of Jim Gordon and Bruce Wayne into the characters fans know and love....

A new Grand Theft Auto game might be in the works this year, at least according to a stuntman in affiliation with developer Rockstar Games. Video game motion capture worker and actor Tim Neff leaked a few photos alluding to a possible sequel to the long-running, open-world crime series on social media yesterday, only to remove them not long after. A small-time stunt performer and creature actor, Neff has previously lent his talents to Rockstar’s last open-world adventure, 2018’s western-based Red Dead Redemption 2, in addition to Activision’s futuristic shooter Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 in the same year....

Google is rolling out a couple notable updates to its Google Translate apps that adds additional languages for translations of printed text and support for the new Split View app mode on iPads. Using Google Translate’s instant visual translation feature, users can tap into their mobile device’s camera to translate printed text. With this month’s update, Google adds support for translating printed text in English or German into Arabic, something that was already available for the apps other translations features including conversation mode and text input model....

Guillermo del Toro and Netflix’s stop-motion Pinocchio movie adaptation has added actors like Ewan McGregor and Tilda Swinton to its voice cast.
