The Mount Gordo ghost is one of Grand Theft Auto 5’s spookiest Easter eggs, but it’s not just a fun bit of horror thrown into the game. Fans have pieced together bits of GTA 5’s story to theorize about who the Mount Gordo ghost really is, and it has a particularly dark origin story. GTA developer Rockstar is notorious for packing its games with unexplained Easter eggs. Red Dead Redemption 2’s mysterious Francis Synclair mural, for example, contains cryptic depictions of the supposed time traveler’s exploits, including a meteor headed for ancient Egyptian pyramids....
These days it seems like every movie studio is looking to find their next franchise film series. Disney has Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and their live-action remakes of beloved animated films. John Gruber over at Daring Fireball put together a rumor-roundup regarding the next-gen iPad’s display and everyone seems to be saying something different. Mac Stories found evidence for a 2048 x 1536 resolution display, Engadget says it will be “super-high resolution”. For what it is worth, we found some evidence that the iPad 2’s display will stick with the current one’s 1024 x 768. Gruber spoke to his sources and is reporting that the iPad 2 does not have a Retina Display and believes that the display will have the 1024 x 768 resolution....

After launching last month for Android users, Google’s new Family Link app today arrives on iOS. The app is aimed at parents, allowing them to monitor things like screen time and apps downloaded from Google Play, as well as setting restrictions for Android devices their kids are using (via TechCrunch). While the app only works for monitoring Android devices via a connected Google account, the new iOS version of Family Link will allow parents that use an iPhone to monitor their kids’ Android devices without actually using an Android device themselves....
Just as in real life, every good fictional world will – and must – go through changes. These changes can take on a multitude of different dimensions, both altering and challenging what is familiar and giving rise to a host of new stories. It’s arguable that when a story is continually in flux in this way, audiences have more to experience and therefore more of a reason to become engrossed....
