Gossip Girl was a legendary teen soap that thrived on the dysfunction and drama of all of it’s characters. None of the characters in the series were particularly good people (or even if they started off decent, eventually they seemed to give in to their baser instincts), but some of the characters were distinctively worse than others. Although none of the characters went from bad to good, some of them went from terrible to slightly less awful, or at the very least some of them went from boring to entertaining....

Grey’s Anatomy has been running for 15 seasons by 2019. In that long time, we’ve had a number of characters weave in and out while Meredith Grey’s life continues along. Among these characters are those who have been on an even level of popularity as Meredith and are remembered when the show is brought up. The original cast can definitely be claimed to be much more memorable than the current one as it was around this time Grey’s Anatomy had pulled in 20 million viewers per episode easily....

Every day when I had a little time, I went out to the workshop to do a little bit more building. Every day, once I was done with that day’s build, I filmed a short video log about that day’s build experience, which I then posted on social media sites. Twitter and Thomson Reuters Foundation will be some of the first organizations to use the tool. It allows users to review, sort, and export harmful comments with trusted parties, as well as mute or block perpetrators and hide replies to Tweets. Dozens of studies have repeatedly shown that women, and especially female journalists, receive waves of threats and harassment online. Google’s Jigsaw unit and the Economist Intelligence Unit released a study that showed that 70% of female journalists receive threats and harassment online, and more than 40% of those female journalists stopped reporting a story as a result....

Warner Bros. is still developing Gotham City Sirens, a Suicide Squad spinoff featuring Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy. The studio officially launched their DC Extended Universe last spring with Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, which worked to introduce the core superheroes before they return in Justice League later this year. However, it was David Ayer’s Suicide Squad that showed fans the darker underbelly of the DCEU with an all-villain team-up - bringing some of DC Comics’ most infamous, and beloved, antagonists into the live-action universe....

For The Talk Show Live at WWDC this year, John Gruber was joined by Apple executives Craig Federighi and Greg Joswiak. The trio talked about Apple’s announcements yesterday, including the Mac Pro, iOS 13, iPadOS, and much more. Mac Pro + Pro Display XDR Regarding the new Mac Pro, Gruber first pressed Joswiak and Federighi on the price of the wheels – an optional accessory that Apple showcased alongside the cheese grater tower....

Despite rumors suggesting otherwise, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will not be called Asgardians of the Galaxy. There was a lot of speculation about the title, particularly after Thor joined the Guardians of the Galaxy at the end of Avengers: Endgame and mentioned the “Asgardians of the Galaxy” as a joke. Those rumors gained even more traction when Thor actor Chris Hemsworth voiced interest in such a project. In Marvel Comics, Asgardians of the Galaxy was the team that replaced the Guardians of the Galaxy when that comic book series ended in 2018....

David Gordon Green’s 2018 reboot of John Carpenter’s Halloween (1978) was well-received by fans of the franchise, and its sequel, Halloween Kills, seems like a real contender to be the most intense film in the series to date. While other horror franchises have been done to death, Halloween continues to be revitalized in new, unique ways; to date, there are five distinct canons within the different movies. John Carpenter’s seal of approval plus the inclusion of Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and Nick Castle’s return as Michael Myers (he shares the role with James Jude Courtney) endeared the 2018 Halloween to fans before it even hit theaters....

UPDATE: Stadia Connect confirmed all of these details during its presentation. The entire presentation is available here. Google Stadia will have both a subscription model and the ability to purchase games for sale individually, according to a leak from an outlet just hours before the first-ever Stadia Connect livestream. Stadia was originally announced in March as a streaming platform that would make games more accessible for everyone, eschewing the need for a high-end console or computer and instead enabling fans to access current games on any device that has access to Chrome....

It seems Apple isn’t going to be alone in offering a better deal to developers of subscription-based apps. The same day Phil Schiller revealed that developers will receive 85% of subscription revenue from year two, Re/code reports (and TNW confirms) that Google will be offering the same deal to Android developers – but with one big difference … It’s not yet known when Google will introduce the new revenue split, but it is reported to have already tested it with some entertainment companies....

Google is now adding OSS-Fuzz to the pool of answers to the internet-wide Log4j flaw, also known as Log4Shell. The bug is tracked as CVE 2021-44228 and was partially fixed in Apache Foundation’s release of Log4j version 2.15.0 last week. OSS-Fuzz is Google’s free service for fuzzing open-source software projects and is currently used by over 500 critical projects. Fuzzing involves throwing random code at software to produce an error, like a crash, and uncover potential security flaws....

Many Arrowverse actors throughout the years have expressed their desire for The Flash star Grant Gustin to continue his portrayal of Barry Allen on the big screen, and co-star Jessica Parker Kennedy is the most recent one to add her voice to the chorus. Ever since Ezra Miller’s casting was announced merely a week after the CW show premiered, having two Flashes has been a point of discussion among fans and cast members alike....

Green Book took home Best Picture at the 2019 Producers Guild Awards. Directed by Peter Farrelly, the film is definitely one of the biggest surprises of awards season. Announcing its Oscar candidacy by winning the coveted People’s Choice Award at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival, Green Book has picked up numerous accolades on the campaign trail. That includes a trio of Golden Globes; Best Supporting Actor (Mahershala Ali), Best Screenplay, and Best Picture - Comedy or Musical....
