In another edition of his ‘Power On’ newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman talks about what he expects Apple will unveil with iPhone 13 in a couple of months from now. While Bloomberg reported last week that Apple has tasked suppliers with building up to 90 million new iPhones for this fall, which is a 20% increase over the 75 million units planned but the company for the iPhone 12 in 2020, this time, Gurman reiterates some of the features we expect from the iPhone 13 line....

Google has updated its Google Translate app for iPhone and iPad today with a few new features that were previously only available to Android users. The app also receives a brand new UI that makes it fit more in with iOS 7 and the rest of Google’s apps. Version 2.0.0 of Google Translate includes support for handwriting input, allowing users to write words using their finger for 49 different languages. The app also adds translations for seven additional languages, including: Bosnian, Cebuano, Hmong, Javanese, Khmer, Lao, Marathi....

Google has released an update to their Shopper app conveniently giving users information on daily deals, including Google Offers. The update adds a “Offers” and “My Offers” tab at the bottom, along with the Shop tab you know and love. The Offers tab displays deals in map view that are available in your city. The deals you find can be saved in the My Offers tab for later use. Businesses, on the other hand, can publish deals through Google Places....

The Gotham version of Poison Ivy is set to evolve yet again, as the series brings on former Mad Men and The Flash actor Peyton List to become the latest evolution of the character. The move makes List the third actor to take on the role as Ivy Pepper has undergone some dramatic changes since the series began. And according to the announcement by FOX, List’s version will bring the character closer to the plant-controlling villain popularized in comics, cartoons, and video games....

Things are about to get a lot more horrible this season on Gotham. The TV series just released a new trailer featuring Jerome Valeska (Cameron Monaghan) front and center as he begins to organize the escaped criminals of Arkham Asylum into a team of supervillains that he refers to as the “Legion of Horribles.” This new league of villains includes Penguin, Sandman, Mr. Freeze, and Mad Hatter, among others. Jerome plans on using this new team to take over Gotham and turn the city into a bed of mayhem and insanity....

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is well known for being humorous and not taking itself too seriously, and, while all the movies have some comedic moments, the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise has the most. Both movies are absolutely jam-packed with comedic moments that really make them stand out amongst the rest of the MCU. In addition to working across platforms, it also offers an additional level of control … Where Find My Friends is all or nothing – you either allow someone to track you or you don’t for the specified period – Trusted Contacts has a time-out feature which offers you a chance to decline a request....

The demands of using Google Stadia to play games in 4K might be too much for a lot of gamers, as a recent study suggests that the data cap on many Internet plans would be quickly used up by using the 4K version of the service. Google Stadia is an upcoming gaming platform that will allow players to stream games at their highest performance settings on devices that would normally be unable to run them....

It was just a matter of time before Google would have to announce a tablet of its own. I mean, if Microsoft has launched the Surface Tablet, Google had to do the same. And the rumors are already taking shape. Gizmodo Australia got its hands on the spec sheet and even a rendering of the device. These are unconfirmed, but since they seem to be very similar to other leaked info, there’s really no reason why we wouldn’t give them some street cred....

General Tips Lenses are more important than the camera body A lot of first time buyers focus on more expensive camera bodies and completely disregard lenses. If you’re fine with just the kit lens for about a few months (supposing that’s how long you’ll need to save up for a better lens) then you’re good to go. But buying a very expensive camera body and then using it with cheap lenses is a bad move....
