What has faded, however, is the momentum generated by Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, particularly regarding the tease of Him, better known as Adam Warlock....

Fan-favorite auteur Guillermo del Toro has talked with Lucasfilm’s Kathleen Kennedy about ideas for Star Wars. Back when Disney first announced that they were going to be making more films in a galaxy far, far away, after buying Lucasfilm in 2012 from George Lucas, fans everywhere began instantly talking about the dream directors that they’d want to see make one of those Star Wars film. One of the most recurring names in all of those lists was del Toro, and it wasn’t especially hard to see why....

It was back in 2013 that the first blueprints of handguns appeared online for public consumption. The gun in question was the Liberator, a gun which cost only $25 to print and was able to fire eight rounds in a single barrel. The CAD files for the weapon were released by Defense Distributed, ran by Cody Wilson, which was the first organization to make 3D printed gun blueprints open-source. This led to a modified design called the “Lulz Liberator” being released by a third-party which could be printed through a commercially-available printer....

Like it always does, Apple released new silicon and leather cases for its latest iPhones. Outside of the obvious camera hole differences, the silicon case remains the same. The leather case, on the other hand, received a subtle, yet notable change. As we pointed out last week, Apple’s new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Leather Case now comes with machined aluminum buttons. As a result, the volume buttons and Sleep/Wake button now have a much more tactile feel that’s significantly more pleasing to use than before....

Following the release of iOS 12.1.4 this afternoon, a top Google security engineer revealed two zero-day security threats. Ben Hawkes, team leader at Google’s Project Zero security team, revealed the existence of the vulnerabilities on Twitter this afternoon. As explained by ZDNet, the two vulnerabilities were fixed as part of iOS 12.1.4’s release today. However, Hawkes says both vulnerabilities were exploited in the wild as zero-day. The two carry the identifiers of CVE-2019-7286 and CVE-2019-7287....

It took 884 photographs, months of planning, and 5.5 hours of labor to complete but Clay Bavor, Google Group Product Manager, and other Google employees created a GIANT Google Logo Mosaic using 4”x6” photographs. Where did they get the pictures? Google employed photographers of course. Last week Google updated its logo with a new look. You’re probably thinking “Huh.. it looks the same!” You’re right, except they’ve removed the shadows and improved the reflective lighting on each letter....

Fresh off congratulating the Suicide Squad makeup department for its Oscar win, director David Ayer is hard at work developing his next project for the DC Extended Universe, Gotham City Sirens. Based on the comic series of the same name, the film already has Margot Robbie attached to reprise her role as Harley Quinn. Ayer has also teased that Catwoman and Poison Ivy will join Harley Quinn, as they did in the comics....

In the season 3 premiere of Greenleaf, family patriarch Bishop James found himself facing both a divorce and an IRS tax bill. Drama series Greenleaf debuted its first season on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) in 2016 and began airing its fourth season 2019. In his Power On newsletter this Sunday, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman believes Apple will bring Face ID to the Mac within a ‘couple of years.” Gurman notes that even the iPhone SE and non-Pro iPads could receive Face ID. The only reason Apple isn’t doing so right now is to cut costs while still offering security. Mark Gurman believes a “camera embedded in the screen would help differentiate Apple’s pricier devices by eliminating the notch at the top....

Mysterio’s recognizable costume is being properly brought to life in Spider-Man: Far From Home, and audiences will get to see even more of it thanks to Jake Gyllenhaal. Quentin Beck aka Mysterio has one of the most distinct looks of any of Spider-Man’s foes. Filming is soon to start on the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, and the latest news is that Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play the film’s villain - Mysterio. It’s the first concrete news about the sequel, which will be set after the events of Avengers 4, and introduce viewers to the post-Phase 3 MCU. There’s a sense of irony to this news, given Gyllenhaal was once in talks to suit up as Spider-Man himself; he was considered as a replacement for Tobey Maguire in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2....

Signed by Google Brazil president Fabio Coelho, the letter released on Friday (12) criticizes the project introduced in 2020, which aims to regulate platforms with more than 2 million users, who would be responsible for creating rules and mechanisms to identify content that could be considered false clearly. “We recognize the importance of debating solutions to this problem, but we are concerned that the Congress is doing so without considering the negative and unintended consequences the bill could bring”, Coelho argued....
