In this post, we will tell you how to Upgrade Downgrade or Restore Back to Official Firmware on LG V30. This is a simple process that doesn’t require you to unlock the bootloader of your V30. Usually, downgrade, upgrade and restoring is pretty similar. In each case, you have to flash the required firmware file. Restoring and downgrading are done when the user is not getting good performance from the existing ROM. So, he thinks of rolling back to the old ROM the device was on. The upgrading is another simple scenario where the user flashes the firmware to keep its device up-to-date.

However, keep in mind that this entire guide is about the device running stock ROM. So, if you’re running any custom ROM on your V30, then this guide will not be helpful. Another advantage of this guide is it doesn’t require you to factory reset your device post the firmware installation. All the download links or the LG V30 firmware, LG USB driver, the flash tool has been given below. Most importantly, you will need a .dll file which is mandatory to have with you. We have tagged its download link as well.
