Grand Theft Auto V may be celebrating its 6 year anniversary this September, but the game has continued to attract gamers to this day. Originally released in September 2013, Grand Theft Auto V allows gamers to play as three different criminals, Michael, Trevor, and Franklin, who commit heists in the city of Los Santos.

While the franchise has been popular since the first game’s release in 1997, Grand Theft Auto V took that popularity to a whole new level. While the title was no doubt an expensive game to make, Rockstar has more than made their money back and has broken numerous records in the process. In fact, just last year, Grand Theft Auto V became the most profitable entertainment product of all time.

While some game companies pump out a new title each year, Rockstar is known for pacing out their releases, building an incredible amount of anticipation for the next game. While gamers wait for the next title, Rockstar has continued to update Grand Theft Auto V as well as introduce Grand Theft Auto Online, which allows players build their own criminal empire alongside other gamers.

Here is Grand Theft Auto Online: 25 Wild Things Fans Didn’t Know They Could Do.

Go Inside Secret Locations

In Grand Theft Auto V, gamers would often have to find hiding spots to avoid the police, but that was escalated even more in Grand Theft Auto Online. With the numerous amounts of bounties that players can put on you, finding a unique hiding spot became even more important.

Thankfully, there are dozens of secret locations that most people will never find. In downtown Los Santos, the big construction building is one such hiding place as players can parachute their way onto a secret level of the building. There’s also a way to glitch your way into the police station, making it virtually impossible for mercenaries to hunt you down.

Use A Flare Gun Against Parachuters

Parachuting can be a lot of fun in Grand Theft Auto Online. While it can be a lot of fun, people can still hurt you while you glide down to the ground. People can fire weapons at your character, but they can’t actually damage your parachute, except for with a flare gun.

While it doesn’t make a lot of sense, shooting a flare gun at an opponent’s parachute will actually cause it to completely disappear. Not only did you waste the character’s parachute, but your enemy will also fall to an untimely demise.

Turn Your Bike Into A Giant Fireball

One popular vehicle that was introduced in the “Gunrunning” DLC was called the Oppressor. This motorcycle came equipped with a rocket booster and wings, meaning you could fly through the air on a bike. As if the motorcycle wasn’t cool enough, some people figured out how to make the bike fly with a giant fireball.

All you have to do is drench your bike with gasoline, hit the rocket boost, and watch as you fly through the air as a giant fireball. Sometimes this will end your character’s life, but other times you’ll survive.

Become A Train

There are many types of cars and other vehicles that gamers can drive and purchase in Grand Theft Auto V, but one you can ride exclusively in Grand Theft Auto Online is a train. Sure there are missions involving the train in the campaign, but in Grand Theft Auto Online, there is a way to actually enter and ride the train.

When the freight train that drives around Los Santos comes to a stop at the station, players can stand on the side rail that intersects the train and hit the enter button. This will allow you to ride around inside the train without people being able to see you or shoot at you.

Stack EMP Mines On Top Of Each Other

There were many elements of Grand Theft Auto Online that were upgraded in the “Arena War” DLC. The DLC gave players some powerful boosts such as the EMP Mine. These electromagnetic pulse mines deliver a powerful shock that disables a person’s vehicle for a few seconds.

Not many people know, but you can actually stack several EMP mines on top of each other and make them explode at the same time. This results in a powerful explosion that is much greater than if you were to just use one.

Watch Mercenary Hunts On Your TV

Something unique to Grand Theft Auto Online is that you can set bounties on other players and call muggers and mercenaries to do your dirty work. While most people know about this in Grand Theft Auto Online, many don’t know that you can actually watch these events unfold.

Once you send a mercenary after a target, you can go back to your apartment and watch the hunt on your character’s TV. All you have to do is sit in front of your TV and flip through the channels until you get to your personalized content.

Put Vehicles In The Bombuska

Rockstar is great at updating Grand Theft Auto Online to introduce new missions, vehicles, and weapons, but they also sometimes take things away. For the longest time, players could transport cars inside the back of the Bombuska aircraft, but after “Arena War” came out, that was no longer the case.

That being said, you can load vehicles into the Bombuska if you take off all of the upgrades for the aircraft. While taking off all of these upgrades might let you transport cars, it probably isn’t worth it since you could easily be attacked without the Bombuska upgrades.

Stop Your Vehicle Instantly

All vehicles in Grand Theft Auto Online are different. Some are super fast sports cars, while others are planes, boats, motorcycles, and even tractors. While the speed of these vehicles varies, so does the stopping speed. That being said, there is a way to make a vehicle stop instantly without using your brake.

This can be done by driving a car at any speed, selecting one of the single player characters on the d-pad, and then hitting “No” when the game asks you if you want to quit the online session. This will bring your vehicle to a screeching halt, no matter how fast you are going.

Hear Jock Cranley Commentate Arena Wars

Rockstar often puts easter eggs and cameo roles into their Grand Theft Auto titles and Grand Theft Auto V was no exception. Niko Bellic was referenced several times in the game and the character Karen Daniels, a.k.a. Michelle, from Grand Theft Auto IV made it into Grand Theft Auto V. Grand Theft Auto Online continued the fun by having Jock Cranley commentate Arena Wars.

The character first appeared in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, where Jock was an actor and stunt double. Jock later gets into more in Grand Theft Auto V and is apparently interested in Arena Wars in Grand Theft Auto Online.

Play Golf With Your Friends

Most people who play Grand Theft Auto Online are looking to play with real people rather than just the NPCs found in the story mode. Like any multiplayer game, you can invite your friends to play the game with you and travel around Los Santos together.

There are several activities to do with friends in Grand Theft Auto Online like racing cars and pulling off heists, but you can also play golf with your friends. Sure you can play golf in the offline version of Grand Theft Auto V, but playing golf with your buddies can be more fun than playing against a computer.

Ride Your Bike With One Hand

Most people who have played Grand Theft Auto V have driven a motorcycle at one point or another. When a gamer drives a motorcycle, they have the option to wait a few seconds for their character to put a helmet on, or can just drive off without it. When a motorcycle is going slow, the character will usually just have one hand on the handlebars which is called “ride relaxed”.

If a player disbands their Motorcycle Club while their character only has one hand on the handlebars, their character will get stuck in this driving position, which can make for some cool screenshots.

Move Side To Side While Driving In The Air

Many times players vehicles will drive off of hills or ramps which sends vehicles flying through the air. When in the air, a car can be moved slightly, but not enough to be useful. In Grand Theft Auto Online, however, there is something called a Shunt Boost, which can be helpful at times.

The Shunt Boost will allow your car to quickly move back and forth in order to dodge missiles and bullets. Some people also have fun with this boost while flying through the air, as it will allow your car to do some awesome tricks while airborne.

Reset Timers Inside Lobbies

For most people on Grand Theft Auto Online, having more people online makes the gaming experience that much more enjoyable. Having only a few players in a race usually isn’t very fun, but there is a way around that.

Once you enter a race lobby, a race will usually begin in around a minute, even if there are only a few players. If you want to reset the timer, all you have to do is reset the matchmaking option from “Open” to “Closed”. Each time you do this, it will reset the timer giving you more time to find more racers.

Detonate Sticky Bombs From Miles Away

Sticky bombs are one of the many weapons that gamers can use in Grand Theft Auto Online. Sticky bombs have a slight advantage over regular grenades since they can stick to moving targets and gamers can choose when they explode.

Many people think that sticky bombs won’t detonate once you drive far away from an area, but that actually isn’t the case. A player could toss a sticky bomb at a target and then drive all the way across the city of Los Santos, and the bomb would still go off.

Fight A Silver Statue Man

Anybody who has visited a big city has probably seen a street performer painted completely silver, pretending to be a statue. The performers can be cool to watch, which is likely why the character was added to Grand Theft Auto Online.

The character can be found near Vespucci Beach doing what he does best, acting like a statue. However, if you attack the street performer, he will fight you. Even getting too close to the character can start a fist fight, but he doesn’t really present much of a challenge to beat.

Fly Through A Glass Billboard

There are many billboards in Grand Theft Auto V that advertise different fake companies and products that are often comical. One billboard that tends to stand out is the giant CNT billboard that looks like a giant TV, which can be found near the CNT building by the casino.

While you’ve probably passed it a bunch of times, not many people know that there is actually glass in the billboard. People have posted videos online of them shooting out the glass and even driving vehicles through it, which make for some epic screenshots.

Glitch Your Way Into Lester’s House

While Lester is never a playable character in Grand Theft Auto V, he is important nonetheless. Lester was part of the heist crew with Michael, Trevor, and Franklin, and also becomes part of Grand Theft Auto Online when a player reaches level 10.

Lester is an interesting character to say the least and players can actually see the inside of Lester’s house in Grand Theft Auto Online. This is done by landing a helicopter onto his roof and then having another player pull you out. This will sometimes glitch the game and drop you into Lester’s house, allowing you to explore his home.

Snipe While Running

Everyone in Grand Theft Auto Online has a weapon of choice. Rather than being in the middle of a battle, some players like to camp out a ways away and just use a sniper rifle to take out opponents. Most people know that your movement is pretty slow when you are looking down the scope of a sniper, but there is a way around that.

If you go into first-person mode and sprint before looking down your scope, you will be able to move the gun and look around much quicker.

Set Yourself On Fire

Propane tanks can be a fun element of Grand Theft Auto V. The tanks don’t serve a real purpose when it comes to fueling items in the game, but they do look awesome when they explode. A couple of shots to a propane tank will send out flames of fire, but any more than that will make it explode.

In Grand Theft Auto Online, however, punching a propane tank will set you on fire. There is no logic as to why this would happen, but punching the tank will set players on fire for a few seconds without damaging the propane tank.

Hurt Yourself With Your Own Vehicle

There’s no doubt that everyone who played the campaign for Grand Theft Auto V brought havoc to Los Santos. The campaign for the game gave players a plethora of vehicles to complete missions with, but even more cars are available in Grand Theft Auto Online.

These cars can be modified and upgraded even more to cause extra damage to your enemies… and yourself. Yes, weapons and upgrades you apply to your car will actually cause you damage if you run into them, like the spikes and electricity rams that can be applied to the front of your vehicle.
