At long last, Google today updated its trio of productivity apps on iOS with support for the multitasking features Apple introduced to iPad users with iOS 9. With today’s updates, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides users can now take advantage of Split View and Slide Over multitasking.

Google originally updated the Google Docs app with iPad Pro optimization in March, but only now have users been able to take advantage of Split Screen and Slide Over. As a refresher, Slide Over allows users to drag from the side of the display and briefly access another application. Once the user taps back into the original app, however, the secondary app goes away. Split View, on the other hand, allows users to run two apps side-by-side, either split 50/50 or with one app in a smaller window along the side.

In addition to Split View and Slide Over support, today’s updates to Sheets, Docs, and Slides include a handful of bug fixes and improvements. Google Docs specifically also gains support for inserting images and inserting page breaks.
